Well for those of you that are lucky enough not to be affiliated - GICW stands for Goodwill of the Colombia Willamette. Yes that one...the one with the CEO making "BUCKS" in the millions while closing off services, paying staff below market rate...the one that has the PR department that is a "MONSTER" and rivals only the politicos for spinning sweet from the stink.

I speak to all those who have ever wondered if their donations really went to help those disabled folks that are paraded in front of the media, plastered on trucks and generally exploited by the Machine of Goodwill of the Columbia Willamette.

I must take some responsibility - for I am an employee of the profit mongering animal. I, and many coworkers with conscience are trying to locate employment and save our souls - wish us luck - because like all those who have been wrongfully terminated, left for mental health, or just out of disgust...we are facing a very unkind job market. It sucks to have to choose between your mental health and self respect...and a pay check!

I'm on the inside...so what I report is coming from the mouths of the head cheeses - perfect term for the lot of them, since they are really beginning to smell like moldy old feta!

Let me see...where do I start...Age Discrimination? Sexual Harassment? Gender Discrimination? or just plain old lie, cheat, and steal stuff!

It's late so I will pick up this interesting tale this weekend.

I invite all GICW employees, past and present to call the 1-800 number to report unethical behavior. I know...the little card and the posters say it is for reporting Employee Theft...not entirely so!!!!
It is a reporting agency (third party-very confidential) that reports these things to the Board of Directors, Jeff Grubb, secretary. You know the Board..the people GICW management keeps in the dark and feeds sh........ and let me tell you...they really don't want you to call that number.
That reason alone should tell you that it is the right thing to do:)
